I grew up in the Liverpool area and Melissa, my wife, grew up in Sans Souci. Mel and I met while we were studying at Sydney University and have been married for 9 years (2013). We started off living in Bexley, until moving to Mortdale and now in Padstow. After graduating from Sydney Uni in 2010, I was a primary school teacher for 3 years (2011-2013) at public schools around the Fairfield region. After which, my wife and I both joined a university ministry for 6 years (2014-2019), working full time on campus with the group called Power to Change. We are both passionate about growing healthy churches who live out what it means to be in communion with God and are engaged in the mission of God.
Gabriel is currently undergoing his Pastoral Traineeship at Earlwood Baptist Church, while studying at Morling College (Bachelor of Ministry). Gabriel grew up in the Bankstown area (Bediagal land) and is really passionate about building relationships and networks within his local community, whether it be through sport, the love of movies (and music), and most definitely, food.
Sierra is a recent high school graduate. She is passionate about Kids ministry and has set aside a year to serve God. God led her here to Earlwood Baptist church, where for the next year she will be serving as a ministry trainee in Kids Ministry and teaching Scripture in the local schools. Sierra enjoys spending time with her family back in America, but she also love’s exploring. Sierra has had this calling from God to become a children’s pastor, and over the next year she will be on a journey of discernment.
